Maura Jeffery

Maura Jeffery is the current Assistant Controller at Tendermint. Maura has over 9 years of experience in accounting and finance. Prior to joining Tendermint, Maura was Revenue Accounting Manager at Coinbase where they were the company lead in implementing an automated reconciliation process. Maura has also held positions at Airbnb and Xoom Corporation. At Airbnb, Maura was the Cash Operations Manager and was also the company lead in implementing an automated reconciliation process. While at Xoom Corporation, Maura served as Senior Accountant and was responsible for Frontier, a reconciliation software that reduced manual work performed by Staff Accountants. Maura also managed the Accounts Payable department, approved vendors and invoices, ensured timely payments to vendors, and oversaw weekly check runs. In addition, Maura improved travel and expense procedures by identifying and implementing a software solution; AP processing time dramatically reduced. Lastly, Maura worked closely with Product and Customer Service department heads to ensure accurate monthly accruals and expense approval.

Maura Jeffery has a BS in Finance from Rochester Institute of Technology, with minors in Accounting & Economics. Maura also has an Economics degree from Syracuse University - Strasbourg, with a focus in French and Economics. Maura is also certified by the California Board of Accountancy as a CPA.
