Robert Sholars

Robert Sholars is a Managing Director in Strategy & Communications Advisory at Teneo since April 2020. Previously, Sholars served as the Director of Communications for the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, overseeing communications and public affairs for a federal agency focused on financial crime and fraud. Experience also includes roles in public affairs at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, where external relations were transformed into a proactive stakeholder management program, and as Vice President at APCO Worldwide, offering senior communications counsel to companies facing critical challenges. Additional expertise was gained as an Associate at Brunswick Group during the Deepwater Horizon accident, and at McKinsey & Company, where Sholars built reputation for a newly established office addressing societal challenges. Educational credentials include a Master in International Affairs from Columbia University and a B.A. in International Affairs from Lewis & Clark College.
