John Curticapean

VP of Engineering at Tenera

John Curticapean has a diverse work experience in engineering and design roles. In their most recent position at Tenera, they served as the VP of Engineering and previously worked as an Engineering Team Lead. During their time at Tenera, they played a key role in the development of ultra-wideband technology for real-time indoor positioning and was responsible for coordinating product design and manufacturing. Prior to Tenera, John worked as a Mechanical and Industrial Designer at Monogram Creative Console, where they were involved in the mechanical hardware design, industrial design, and prototyping of Creative Console modules. John also co-founded Circadian Energy, a company that developed modular micro-grid equipment and facilitated energy transactions between grid nodes. Additionally, John has experience in optical/mechatronics engineering at Synaptive Medical, mechanical engineering intern at Formlabs, robotics engineering at Carbon Robotics, and product development engineering at Spin Master Ltd. John started their career as a Wifi Software Developer at Ericsson.

John Curticapean attended the University of Waterloo from 2013 to 2018, where they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
