Felita Carter

Felita Carter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Felita started their career as a Student Assistant and Laboratory Assistant at UC Davis, where they worked from 1993 to 1997. Felita then moved on to the UC Davis - California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory System, where they served as a Staff Research Associate from 1997 to 2000. In 2001, Felita worked as a Planning and Development Administrative Intern at Grady Health System, Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital. Felita also held the position of Hospital Administrative Fellow - Health Services Research and Development at the Atlanta VA Medical Center from 2001 to 2002. Felita then joined Tenet Healthcare in 2002 as a PFS Director-In-Training and served in various roles, including Third Party Collections Supervisor, Managed Care Financial Analyst, Sr. Managed Care Financial Analyst, Market Manager, Medical Economics, and Director of Managed Care Finance/Payer Compliance.

Felita Carter obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis in 1996. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Public Health degree in Public Health, Health Policy and Management from Emory University, which they completed in 2001.
