Marcelo Andrade Dias has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Marcelo started their career as an Intern and Product Development Technician at Robert Bosch, where they gained practical knowledge in product development. Marcelo then worked as a Product Development Engineer Jr. at Clitech, focusing on product development. Marcelo later joined Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics as a Product Development Engineer, specializing in automotive electronics.

After that, they joined Ceitec as an Application Engineer, where they worked on ASIC projects for various microelectronics applications. Marcelo then moved on to Whirlpool Corporation, where they served as a Senior Electrical Engineer, contributing to software and algorithms development for home appliances. Marcelo also participated in code reviews and supported advanced algorithm development.

In 2016, Marcelo joined Ingersoll Rand as an Electrical Systems and Components Engineer, where they were responsible for defining electrical components requirements for transport refrigeration, HVAC, and APU applications. Marcelo also supported electrification efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Following their time at Ingersoll Rand, Marcelo joined Trane Technologies as a Senior Electrical Engineer, focusing on components requirements definition for transport refrigeration, HVAC, and APU applications. Marcelo also assumed the role of Electrical Subsystem Leader for a new hybrid refrigeration unit.

Currently, Marcelo works at Tennant Company as a Principal System Engineer, providing leadership in electrification and power electronics subsystems. Marcelo is involved in defining architecture roadmaps and supports motor control driver software and hardware.

Throughout their career, Marcelo has gained expertise in power conversion technology, devices, circuits, simulation, standards compliance evaluation, and project management.

Marcelo Andrade Dias obtained a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Electronics, from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas in Brazil. Additionally, Marcelo has obtained various certifications, including Coaching and Mentoring for Technical Leaders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and certifications from SAE International in Electric Vehicle Battery Systems and High Voltage Vehicle Safety Systems. Marcelo also holds a Six Sigma black belt certification from Whirlpool Corporation and has completed several proficiency classes in design and control from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Whirlpool Corporation.
