Skillsusa TNPS Director/director Of CTE Student Engagement at Tennessee Board of Regents

Daphne Brown has extensive work experience in various educational institutions and organizations. Daphne currently works at the Tennessee Board of Regents as the SkillsUSA TNPS Director/Director of CTE Student Engagement, where they build relationships with career and technical students and facilitates partnerships for workforce development. Daphne also serves as the Student Success Coordinator. Prior to this, they worked at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology McKenzie for a significant period, where their roles included Student Services Coordinator and Administrative Office Technology Instructor. In the latter role, they taught various courses and developed online courses using the D2L learning system. Daphne has also worked as a TBR Mobilization Trainer at the Tennessee Board of Regents, an Adjunct Teacher at Bethel College, and an Administrative Assistant at Republic Builders Products. Additionally, they served as a Student Activities Assistant at Bethel College.

Daphne Brown obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in Economics and History, from Bethel University. Daphne attended Bethel University from 1993 to 1997. After completing their undergraduate degree, Daphne pursued a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, also at Bethel University, from 2011 to 2013. Daphne then furthered their education by pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, at East Tennessee State University from 2017 to 2021.

In addition to their degrees, Daphne Brown obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.
