Dr. Chris Smallen

Dr. Chris Smallen, CETL, serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Lenoir City Schools since July 2011, focusing on the development and implementation of a comprehensive technology plan and managing the technology budget. In addition to this role, Dr. Smallen holds adjunct professor positions at Tennessee Wesleyan University and Tennessee Tech University, teaching courses in instructional technology and Leadership and Technology for Business respectively. Previously, Dr. Smallen was the Director of Technology at Loudon County Schools from July 2007 to June 2011. Dr. Smallen earned an Ed.D in Education from Trevecca Nazarene University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tennessee Wesleyan University.
