Arthur van Amerongen

Arthur Van Amerongen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Arthur is currently the Head of Business Guidance at TenneT, where they oversee a team of over 40 staff members responsible for project and business control of large offshore projects in the Netherlands and Germany, as well as onshore Direct Current projects in Germany. Prior to this, they served as the Finance Director (a.i.) at Dynniq.

Arthur also has a significant background in finance and management roles at Shell, where they held various positions such as Financial Reporting Manager, Finance Director for Shell Deepwater Borneo, Finance Manager for Exploration New Ventures, Capital Budgeting Lead for Exploration, Controller for Renewables (Solar, Wind, CO2), and Project Controller. Arthur worked at Shell for over a decade, showcasing their expertise in financial management.

Earlier in their career, Arthur worked as the Corporate Controller at Rémy Cointreau, where they were responsible for corporate accounting and financial reporting. Arthur also gained experience through a Graduate Programme at Lucas Bols B.V. and an internship at Nolan, Norton & Co.

Arthur Van Amerongen completed their Leergang Advanced Analytics & (Big) Data Governance for Financials in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained an Executive Master of Finance and Control in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam between 2004 and 2006. Arthur also holds a Master's Degree in Management and Organisation, International Business from the University of Groningen, which they completed from 1994 to 2000. Lastly, they completed their high school education at Katholiek Gelders Lyceum with a focus on Gymnasium from 1988 to 1994.
