Dan Baker, P.E., CPD has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Dan currently holds the position of Global Director of Strategic Initiatives at Tensar International Corporation since July 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Roads - Central U.S. and Canada at the same company from February 2015 to June 2018. In their role as Roadway Technical Director from January 2012 to February 2015, they directed strategic roadway technology initiatives and played a key role in advancing Tensar's TriAx geogrid technology in the United States public roadway market.

Before joining Tensar International Corporation, Dan worked at Tetra Tech EM Inc. as a Project Manager and Project Engineer from August 1998 to August 2001. During this time, they managed large-scale soil and groundwater remediation projects on military bases throughout the Western U.S.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Project Manager and Project Engineer at Alliance Environmental Consultants, Inc. from June 1996 to August 1998.

Throughout their career, Dan has demonstrated expertise in technical sales, marketing, project management, and engineering in the geosynthetics industry. Dan has successfully developed key accounts, managed complex distribution networks, and contributed to the advancement of innovative solutions.

Dan Baker, P.E., CPD obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This degree was earned during the period of 1995 to 1996. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the same university between 1990 and 1995.

In addition to their formal education, Dan Baker has also obtained additional certifications. In July 2000, they became a Registered Professional Engineer through the State of Colorado. More recently, in December 2021, they obtained the certification of Certified Project Director (CPD) from the Institute of Project Management.
