Kevin Brown

Kevin Brown is currently the VP, Head of Legal at TenSixteen Bio. Prior to this, Kevin was an attorney with FLEX by Fenwick from April 2022 to June 2022. Before that, Kevin served as the VP of Legal, IP at Recursion from August 2019 to February 2022.

At Recursion, Kevin was responsible for creating and implementing IP and patent portfolio strategy. Kevin also negotiated large deals, supported both the Series D fundraising and Recursion's successful IPO, handled employment topics, negotiated with the vendor channel, reviewed leases, conducted employee legal training, and developed legal infrastructure to support Recursion’s mission to apply deep learning and analytics to the drug discovery process.

At FLEX by Fenwick, Kevin advised a well-funded biotech startup on commercial transactions, including material transfer agreements and licenses, provided guidance to employees on IP and legal topics, and advised on internal process development, including on open source software best practices.

Kevin Brown has a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and a B.S. in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
