Cheehan Weereratne

Cheehan Weereratne has been working in the software engineering field since 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at V-Nova Ltd. as a Software Engineer, where they conducted research and development of a video compression algorithm and increased perceptual quality using machine learning and introducing fundamental algorithm changes. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Vision Semantics Limited as a Software Engineer, where they conducted computer vision research and development in object detection, re-identification and multi-object tracking and was the team lead for the SeeQuestor project, the back-end to a CCTV tracking application used by law enforcement services globally. Currently, they are the CTO at Tensorfield Agriculture.

Cheehan Weereratne attended City of London School from 2000 to 2007. Cheehan then attended Imperial College London from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained an MSci in Physics with Theoretical Physics. Cheehan then returned to Imperial College London from 2011 to 2012 to obtain an MSc in Computing Science.
