Luke Yen

Luke Yen is a Senior Principal Engineer at Tenstorrent Inc. since June 2021, with prior experience as a Silicon Performance Architect at Facebook from July 2018 to June 2021 and as a CPU Performance Architect at Qualcomm from August 2012 to July 2018. At Qualcomm, Luke managed the CPU Performance Modeling Team and led the design of the next-generation CPU simulation infrastructure, contributing to the Centriq 2400 data-center SoC and multiple generations of Snapdragon CPUs. Earlier roles included Senior Design Engineer at AMD where work focused on performance modeling for various microarchitectures and intern positions at IBM and Obsidian Software. Luke holds a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
