Denise Sirias, Ph.D., serves as Principal Scientist at Tenza since July 2019, where responsibilities include establishing and maintaining the project management structure and ensuring deliverables are met across all alliances. At Tenza, Denise has implemented various project management tools such as work breakdown structures, Kanban boards, and Gantt charts, while interfacing with external partners to facilitate project execution. Prior experience includes a graduate student role at Harvard University from 2013 to June 2019, focusing on a dissertation about self versus non-self recognition genes and their impact on microbial community structure, alongside responsibilities as a microscopy course organizer and teaching fellow. Denise also gained research experience as an undergraduate research assistant at Michigan State University from 2010 to 2013, studying DNA recombineering in probiotics. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and Master of Arts from Harvard University, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University.
