Salman Shahid

Salman Shahid is a highly experienced data scientist and leader in the analytics field, currently serving as Chief Data Scientist and Principal Data Scientist at Teradata since July 2018. With a strong background in data science and business analytics, Salman leads a team of over 50 professionals to deliver advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning solutions globally. Previous roles include Senior Practice Manager and Practice Lead at Teradata, as well as significant contributions to various high-impact projects across industries such as finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. Prior experience includes data science work at Think Big Analytics, systems engineering at the National Engineering & Scientific Commission of Pakistan, and teaching at Michigan State University. Salman holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology.
