Jennifer Knudsen

Jennifer Knudsen is an experienced educator in mathematics, currently serving as a Senior Math Educator at TERC since October 2019. Prior to this role, Jennifer spent over 17 years at SRI International as a Senior Principal Math Educator, where responsibilities included designing and studying innovative teacher professional development and directing projects funded by NSF grants to enhance mathematical argumentation among students. Before SRI, Jennifer worked at WestEd as a Senior Research Associate, leading projects to create innovative materials for educators and students. Jennifer also co-led the Middle-school Mathematics Through Applications Project at the Institute for Research on Learning, emphasizing the integration of technology and project-based learning. Earlier teaching experiences include serving as a Math and Computer Science Teacher in New York City Public Schools, instructing a range of math classes. Jennifer holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from The Evergreen State College and completed graduate studies in Mathematics Education at Columbia Teachers College.
