George Toma

George Toma has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. George is currently serving as the Senior Director for SMS Programs and Support at TERMA Group since May 2020. Prior to this, George worked as the Commercial Business Development Manager at Furuno USA, Inc. from March 2019 to May 2020. George also served as the Principal at For Your Fleet Concepts and Design, LLC from 2018 to January 2019.

George's extensive leadership experience includes their roles as Vice President of Global Sales at Transas Marine Limited from January 2016 to January 2018, and as President of the same company from December 1998 to December 2015. George also worked as the Director of Worldwide Customer Service & Support at Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine from March 1994 to November 1998.

Prior to their career in management, George began their professional journey as a Navigation Officer in the Merchant Marine Industry from July 1980 to December 1987. In 1988, they became the Branch Manager at Radio Holland, a position they held until March 1994.

George Toma earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nautical Science and Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where they studied from 1979 to 1983.
