Ignacio González López

Director, IT Service at Terma

Ignacio González López has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ignacio started their career in 1999 as a System Administrator for the GNU Project, where they played a role in supporting the Spanish free software community. In 2001, they became an IT Manager at iSOCO, responsible for internal IT services and leading a team of consultants across different locations.

In 2007, Ignacio joined Qindel as an IT Senior Engineer, working as an IT consultant for Vodafone ES account and handling engineering developments on Vodafone's MM3/4 interface and antispam servers.

In 2009, Ignacio became the Director of IT Service at Terma GmbH, overseeing IT services for Terma Space and managing various projects and contracts with space and science organizations across Europe.

In 2016, Ignacio joined EUMETSAT as a Service Delivery Manager and CSM IT Support, where they provided technical management and leadership to a team of nine members. Additionally, they acted as a 3rd line engineer, offering technical support during workload peaks.

Ignacio González López obtained a degree in Ingeniero Tecnico in Informatica de Sistemas from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1998 to 2006. Ignacio also holds several additional certifications, including Leadership Training from danskindustri.dk, SUSE CLA 12 and SUSE CLP 12 from SUSE, ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN, and PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation from PECB, which was obtained in June 2020.
