Fraser Speirs

Fraser Speirs has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

From 2003 to 2006, they worked as a Tier 2 Coordinator at LCG/EGEE/ScotGrid (Univ. of Glasgow).

In 2005, Fraser founded and managed Connected Flow, a software engineering company. Fraser developed and managed the FlickrExport plugin for iPhoto and later ported the plugin to Aperture.

From 2006 to 2015, they worked at Cedars School of Excellence, initially as the Head of Computing and IT, where they were responsible for teaching ICT and Computing Science and managing IT infrastructure and strategy. Fraser later took on the role of Head of Secondary, focusing on planning and execution processes and data protection. Finally, they served as the Head Teacher, overseeing all aspects of the school's operation, including curriculum development and managing the school through COVID-19.

In 2022, Fraser joined 1Password as a Developer, Security Development, specializing in Apple technologies. Fraser later became a Senior Developer, Security Development, where they developed support for Passkeys and addressed product vulnerabilities.

Currently, Fraser works at Terminal Industries, where they started in 2023 as a Networking Specialist, responsible for designing and deploying networking and camera hardware for computer vision applications. Fraser is now the Director, IT, and Networks, overseeing the establishment of the Networking and Systems Team.

Fraser Speirs has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Software Engineering from the University of Glasgow, which they obtained from 1996 to 2000. Fraser later pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computing Science at the same university from 2003 to 2004.
