Kevin Feeney has worked in the tech industry since 1997, starting as a Programmer in the Artificial Intelligence Group at IBM. In 1998, they moved to ITG (later Alphyra, then Payzone) as an IT Architect where they were responsible for architecting and designing the world's first system to enable delivery of pre-paid mobile credit via credit card networks/terminals. In 2001, they became a Senior Technical Consultant at Taten Internet, a leading provider of web-development services to large enterprises, particularly in the financial sector. Kevin was responsible for managing the overall web-presence of National Australia Bank's Conglomerate of 10 international banks, and also architected and developed one of the world's first online customer loyalty systems. In 2004, they took on an IT Consultant role with the Government of Ireland. In 2007, they became a Senior Research Fellow and Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, working on the FAME project. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Project Coordinator and Scientific Lead for the ALIGNED Horizon 2020 Research Project. In 2017, they became the Chief Executive Officer of TerminusDB and the CEO of DataChemist.
Kevin Feeney completed a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin in 1998. Kevin then returned to Trinity College Dublin to pursue a PhD in Computer Science, which they completed in 2008.
