Darren Lawlor

Darren Lawlor, Ph.D., currently serves as the R&D Laboratory Manager at Terraco since November 2021, and previously held the position of Application Engineer at Nalco Water, where responsibilities included chemical analysis and maintenance of various process water systems. With a background as Stores Manager and PhD Researcher at University College Dublin from 2014 to 2019, Darren has extensive experience in managing hazardous materials and conducting research on hydrogen as an alternative fuel source. Additionally, teaching roles as a Teaching Assistant and Project Supervisor involved leading practical laboratories and supporting students across multiple chemistry modules. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, both from University College Dublin, complemented by a commitment to continuous learning in data manipulation and machine learning. Early career experience includes positions as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor with Dlr Leisure Services Monkstown.
