David Garcia

David Garcia is an accomplished professional in the field of geology and production management, currently serving as Chief Production Officer and a member of the Management Team at Terrafame Ltd since June 2016. Terrafame focuses on delivering responsibly produced battery chemicals to the global battery industry, hosting one of the largest production lines for electric vehicle battery chemicals. Prior roles at Terrafame include leadership positions in production, bioleaching, water management, and geology. Garcia's extensive experience also includes positions as Pit-tech Geologist at Sydvaranger Gruve AS, multiple roles as an exploration geologist at First Quantum Minerals LTD, and teaching assignments in geophysics and ore mineralogy at UiT The Arctic University of Norway and the University of Turku, respectively. Educational qualifications include Master of Science degrees in Ore Geology from the University of Turku and Geology from Universidad de Oviedo, along with studies at Háskóli Íslands.
