Peter Schuhmacher

Peter Schuhmacher is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the chemical and battery materials industries. Currently serving as a board member for Nanotech Energy, Terrafame Ltd, and Austin Elements Inc., Schuhmacher has had a long-standing affiliation with Sion Power Corporation, where involvement spanned over a decade as a board member. Prior to these roles, Schuhmacher held various senior positions at BASF from 1995 to 2023, culminating in presidency of the Battery Materials and Recycling and Catalysts Division. Schuhmacher's educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and a diploma in Chemistry, with additional studies at the Scripps Research Institute and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
