Francesco Deleo

Francesco Deleo is a seasoned aerospace and mechanical engineering professional with extensive experience in reactor core design and structural analysis. Currently serving as the Natrium Core Design and Methods Senior Manager and Project Manager at TerraPower LLC since December 2014, Francesco oversees advanced projects, including the multi-stage supercritical CO2 liquification and the transition from coal to carbon fiber. An Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington since March 2014, Francesco has taught various courses in solid mechanics and finite element analysis. Prior roles include Lead Stress Engineer at Greenpoint Technologies, instructor positions, and research and teaching assistantships at the University of Washington, where Francesco contributed to significant research projects on material characterization and composite structures. Francesco holds a PhD, a Master's, and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington.
