The Regional Retail Manager will oversee the daily and long-term operations of a set of dispensaries in the Michigan East region, including directing and overseeing the organization's retail sales objectives, policies, and initiatives. The Regional Manager ensures that all retail stores follow State Regulations and internally approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). This position will work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure the teams within the East region have what they need to be successful.

Where you'll be planted: This position requires the ability to travel 50-75% of the time within the Eastern Gage territory which includes cities such as: Adrian, Burton, Ferndale, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Jackson, Oxford, and Morenci. This is not a remote position; we are searching for a candidate local to this market.

In this role, the Regional Manager will...

  • Develop and lead the Retail Managers within the region, ensuring adequate management coverage at all stores every day regardless of the situation.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Director for defining team strategy and project plans to execute initiatives.
  • Lead stores workforce management team to drive efficiencies in store scheduling, payroll forecasting, reporting and administration of incentive programs.
  • Work closely with the Retail Operations Manager to ensure all new processes and procedures are approved, then rolled out in a consistent manner across the region.
  • Primary liaison between the Retail Director and store leaders to ensure that all information is communicated in a timely, consistent, and brand appropriate manner.
  • Drive operational excellence in stores by creating consistent and efficient back of house standards across the region.
  • Closely monitor scorecard metrics performance for all stores, support improvement initiatives as needed to make sure stores are achieving performance expectations.
  • Partner with the finance and accounting department to manage store expenses and drive cost savings.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to refine omni-channel strategies to continuously deliver a seamless end to end customer experience that spans both online and stores.
  • Stay informed of new technology and cannabis industry initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency within stores.
  • Partner with the Human Resources department to support training tools, new hire onboarding process, and all personnel issues within the sales region.
  • Work closely with the Construction team for all new and acquired facilities within the region, to ensure all aspects of the new location remain consistent and scalable with current and future operations.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities...

  • 5+ years of retail multi-unit store management
  • Multi-unit Cannabis Dispensary management preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and prioritize workload to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
  • Must be a collaborative team player who can both nurture and develop retail management team members
  • Proven leadership ability, as well as strength in building internal partnerships
  • Ability to think strategically and develop achievable long term goals
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills to successfully implement strategic initiatives from initial idea through execution
  • Strong personnel management and retail operations knowledge, including inventory control, loss prevention, retail systems, merchandising, customer service and store budget preparation
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication, critical-thinking, and presentation skills; including the ability to provide written and verbal direction effectively
  • Must be able to travel within territory 50%-75% of the time
  • Must have reliable transportation; Driver MVR check may be required
