Wayne Spevak

Wayne Spevak has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. Wayne is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Chemistry at Terremoto Biosciences. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant at Opna Bio.

Wayne also has a long tenure at Plexxikon Inc., where they held various roles of increasing responsibility. Wayne started as a Senior Scientist in 2004 and progressed to become the Head of Chemistry in 2010. Wayne later served as the Director of Chemistry, Senior Director of Chemistry, Vice President of Chemistry, and finally as the SVP Research. Wayne worked at Plexxikon Inc. from 2004 to 2022.

Before joining Plexxikon Inc., Wayne worked as a Senior Scientist at Thios from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they were a Chemist at Telik from 1995 to 2002. Wayne began their career as a Post-Doc at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 1993 to 1995.

Wayne Spevak completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Northwestern University, from the years 1984 to 1988. Wayne then pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley, obtaining their Ph.D. in Chemistry between the years 1988 and 1993.
