Engineering Director at Terrestrial Energy

Beth V. has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Beth is currently working as an Engineering Director at Terrestrial Energy since September 2020. Before that, they worked at Kinectrics for almost a decade, where they held various roles. Beth served as a Manager & Project Manager, overseeing a team of 50+ staff and managing a $20M per annum program. Beth also worked as a Section Manager, Program Management & Nuclear Refurbishment Site Support, where they managed a multi-million dollar site assignment program and implemented continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, they served as a Senior Human Factors Engineer & Project Manager, leading the implementation of a risk-based Human Factors Program. Prior to Kinectrics, Beth worked at AECL as a Human Factors Engineer, providing design input and conducting human factors reviews for decommissioning projects. Beth also has research experience as a Human Factors Engineering Research Associate, conducting field studies and designing interfaces for intelligent systems. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Automation Engineer at BESTECH and as an Engineering Associate at Eaton.

Beth V. completed their undergraduate studies in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, from 2000 to 2005. Beth then pursued their postgraduate education at the University of Toronto, where they obtained a Masters of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, Beth V. holds certifications such as a Professional Engineer from Professional Engineers Ontario, a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute, and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt Professional from PMstudy.
