Barbara Schuler

Barbara Schuler has extensive experience in human resources with a focus on HR service delivery, HR business partnering, and strategic HR topics. Barbara currently holds the role of CHRO at Tertianum since 2023. Prior to that, they were the Head of HR Shared Services Center at Hirslanden from 2018 to 2023, where they managed the employee lifecycle for over 8,500 employees. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Head of Global HR Management at Avaloq, leading the HR service delivery function and partnering with top management on strategic HR topics. Barbara also worked at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd as a Global HRBP for Finance & Assurance Functions from 2011 to 2015, and at Credit Suisse in various HR roles, including Senior HRBP for CFO / COO Division and Graduate Recruiting & HR Generalist, from 1998 to 2011.

Barbara Schuler has a Master's degree in History & Comparative Religions from the University of Berne, Switzerland, which they obtained from 1991 to 1997. In addition, they pursued further education in Human Resources Management, completing a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW from 2005 to 2006. Later, in 2007-2008, they enrolled in the University of Applied Sciences ZHAW to earn another CAS, this time in International HR Management. Lastly, in 2012, Barbara completed a CAS in Compensation & Benefits at the University of Applied Sciences HWZ.
