Jennifer Pearce has accumulated extensive experience in various administrative roles within the public and sports sectors. Currently serving as an Executive Officer at the Tertiary Education Commission since July 2007, Jennifer previously held positions as the Games Team Administrator at the New Zealand Olympic Committee (1995-2007), a Legal Secretary at Macalister Mazengarb Perry Castle (1992-1995), a Judge's Associate at the High Court of New Zealand (1989-1992), and a Court Reporter/Supervising Court Reporter at the District Court of New Zealand (1980-1989). Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in Management from Massey University, along with additional education from Petone Technical Institute.

The Tertiary Education Commission/Te Amorangi Mātauranga Matua (TEC), is the Government's careers and tertiary education investment agency. We invest approximately $3.2 billion in all forms of post-secondary school education. We fund more than 700 of New Zealand's tertiary education organisations supporting education, training, and research. As of 1 July 2017 our role extends to shaping the future of the careers information and advice for all New Zealanders to encourage lifelong learning. From January 2018 we lead the implementation of the Government's new fees-free initiative. TEC reserves the right to remove any post for any reason. These include unacceptable comments such as those that: -Contain spam or advertising -Are clearly off topic or disruptive -Are obscene, vulgar, racist or sexually explicit. This includes masked words (***), acronyms, and abbreviations -Are chain letters, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent or deceptive messages -Promote services or products that TEC does not endorse, or political organisations or campaigns -Infringe on copyrights or trademarks -Advocate illegal activity, terrorism, violence or bullying -Contain personal attacks of any kind
