Nathan Young

Nathan Young currently serves as Principal Advisor at the Tertiary Education Commission since February 2022. Prior to this role, Nathan was a Manager of Forecasting & Costing (Fixed Term) at the Ministry of Social Development from May 2021 to February 2022. Nathan's experience also includes positions as Senior Economist and Data Scientist at Sense. Partners from December 2019 to May 2021 and Data Scientist at the NZ Transport Agency from August 2018 to November 2019, where focus was placed on customer experience and service improvement. Earlier roles include Senior Research and Data Analyst, Forecast Analyst, and Energy Analyst at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment from April 2013 to August 2018, and Labour Market Analyst at Statistics New Zealand from January 2011 to March 2013. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Hons) with majors in Finance, Economics, and Econometrics from Victoria University of Wellington, completed in 2010.
