As Vice President, Innovation & Development- India, Manoj leads the Disposables development, Medical Equipment development and Scientific studies. He reports to Terumo BCT Inc. and is a member of the global I&D leadership team. India team partners with Terumo BCT sites in US, Japan, Belgium, Vietnam and Northern Ireland on collaborative projects.
Manoj started his career as a Production engineer in Penpol in 1986 in the early days of establishing blood bags factory. He played a key role in the company in developing and establishing manufacturing processes, Quality systems, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Regulatory and Engineering. Following the joint venture, he was instrumental in transferring Terumo technology to India.
Manoj held various positions in Terumo Penpol including head of Factory, Production, Quality, Product Development, Project Management and Management representative. He has wide international experience including working in Middle East in Senior Management position in medical device domain. He has extensive experience in developing products and process and establishing medical device facilities and Quality systems.
He is a member of several committees of Bureau of Indian Standards, a trained medical device auditor, lead auditor for QMS and Life member of IIIE.
Manoj has a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum and Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Engineering from Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology, Chennai.
