Julian Struck

Head Of Quantum Technology at Tesat-Spacecom

Julian Struck has held various roles in different organizations throughout their career. Julian started their work experience in 2004 with an internship at GKSS. Julian then moved on to the University of Hamburg as a postdoctoral researcher, working in the group of Prof. Dr. Klaus Sengstock from August 2013 to April 2014. Julian then joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Dr. Martin Zwierlein from June 2014 to July 2017. After that, they worked at Ecole normale supérieure as a junior research chair from September 2017 to September 2021. Currently, Julian is working at Tesat-Spacecom, where they started as a systems engineer from December 2021 to March 2023 and is now the Head of Quantum Technology, leading the development and implementation of satellite-based quantum communication solutions and quantum sensors.

Julian Struck obtained a Diploma in Physics from the University of Hamburg in 2009. Julian then pursued a higher level of education at the same institution, earning a Dr. rer. nat. (equivalent to a PhD degree) in Physics in 2013.
