Amith Kumar

Amith Kumar has extensive experience in people services and transformation, currently serving as Associate Director at Tesco Bengaluru since December 2005, overseeing a team of 250 responsible for the accurate and timely payroll of 300,000 employees in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Previously, as Senior Manager for People and Payroll Operations, Amith managed payroll operations across various divisions, including Tesco Bank and distribution centers. Earlier roles included Manager of HR Services operations across multiple regions, Assistant Manager for payroll processing, and various team lead positions. Amith began career as a Clerk at Rail Wheel Factory under the Ministry of Indian Railways. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounts and Marketing from St. Joseph's Commerce College, Bangalore University.
