Allen Pei

Allen Pei is an experienced materials engineer with a strong background in nanotechnology and materials science. From April 2019 to February 2025, Allen served in various engineering roles at Tesla, advancing from Senior Cell Materials Engineer to Sr. Staff Materials Engineer. Prior experience includes positions as Research Assistant and Lab Manager at Stanford University from September 2014 to April 2019, and Research Assistant at the University of California San Diego from September 2010 to June 2014, where Allen also held the position of President of the Nanoengineering and Technology Society. Further experience includes an internship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in mid-2013 focusing on the deposition and characterization of nanosheets. Allen holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Nanoengineering from UC San Diego.
