Carlos E. Gutierrez

Carlos E. Gutierrez is the Managing Counsel for Energy Products at Tesla, having previously served as Senior Corporate Counsel for Amazon Web Services from 2018 to 2023. They began their legal career as an Intern and Analyst for the City of San Antonio Office of Management and Budget from 1998 to 2002, and later worked as an Attorney at the New York Power Authority. From 2010 to 2018, they specialized in electric and gas industry matters at Blank Rome LLP and Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. Carlos holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Cornell Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government, Magna Cum Laude, from Texas A&M University.
