Nathan Ng is an accomplished engineer specializing in mechanical engineering with extensive experience in both product design and team management. Currently serving as a Manager and Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer at Tesla since January 2021, Nathan oversees the design and development of car computers for all models and Tesla's AI datacenter. Previously, Nathan held the position of Senior Manager in Mechanical Engineering at JUUL Labs, leading the system engineering efforts for next-generation vape devices, and was a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Tesla, contributing to autopilot hardware and the Model 3 factory layout. Nathan's career also includes significant contributions at Apple, where Nathan invented the USB Type-C Cable and Connector specification and led the design of innovative products such as haptic trackpads and various power adapters. Nathan's early career involved developing touch technologies at Tyco and working as an Applications Engineer at Flex. Nathan holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
