Saral Tayal

Saral Tayal is a Software Integration Engineer at Tesla since January 2024, with prior experience as an Engineering Intern at Apple and a Student Researcher at PocketQube Satellite, where research focused on computer vision techniques for space applications. Previously, Saral held the Software Integration Engineer role at Tesla, developing algorithms for headlight calibration and leading initiatives for mobile app access in cold weather. Leadership experience includes serving as Vice President of R&D at Carnegie Mellon Racing, managing projects related to vehicle control systems. Saral also founded Tinker Spark, an educational platform for teaching children STEM principles, and served as a National TV Judge for robotics at the Star Young Achiever Awards. Saral's background includes military training with the Singapore Armed Forces and internships in 3D printing design and firmware validation. Saral holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
