Supratik Maitra

Supratik Maitra is a seasoned software engineering professional with over 19 years of experience in leading software development teams and projects. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Tesla since November 2016, Supratik is focused on developing the next generation of Tesla Navigation systems. Prior to this role, Supratik worked at Apple from April 2011 to November 2016, where responsibilities included managing the routing engine for Apple Maps and contributing to the launch of routing and navigation features. Supratik's earlier experience includes a senior engineering role at Magellan Navigation Inc., where project management and software development were key focuses, as well as software engineering positions at Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., and as a research assistant at the University of Arizona. Supratik holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Arizona and a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
