Timothy Lai is an accomplished mechanical engineer with a strong background in design and assembly engineering. Timothy gained valuable experience as an Assembly Engineering Intern at Volkswagen of America, Inc. and as a Structures Intern at Firefly Aerospace. Following these roles, Timothy served as a Graduate Research Assistant in U.S. Navy Aviation and progressed through various positions at Tesla, ultimately becoming a Senior Design Engineer focused on Body Structures Design from November 2020 to February 2024. Timothy holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, obtained between 2012 and 2016.
