Xiang Zhang

Xiang Zhang is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in systems design and electrical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Systems Design & Architecture Engineer at Tesla since December 2024, Xiang previously held the role of Senior System Engineer at Cepton, focusing on system integration and functional safety design. Earlier experience includes positions at GEIRI North America, where Xiang developed dynamic power system models and data conversion tools, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in VLSI integration and transient simulation. Initial engineering roles at HP involved developing algorithms for printer diagnostics and performance optimization. Xiang holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, where a Bachelor of Science degree was also earned with Highest Distinction.
