Responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture: Design and architect highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, driving best practices and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
- Cloud Implementation: Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions, leveraging tools and services from leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure and services to improve performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and drive project execution.
- Mentorship and Development: Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical training to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to innovate and enhance our cloud offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4 years) in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on scalable and distributed systems.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Kubernetes, etc.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and data encryption.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical excellence, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
- Knowledge of serverless computing concepts and platforms such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
- Experience with big data technologies and platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Elasticsearch.
