Position Overview:
As a Principal Engineer specializing in cloud technologies, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of cloud services into our products and platforms. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities:
  1. Cloud Architecture: Design and architect highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
  2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, driving best practices and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
  3. Cloud Implementation: Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions, leveraging tools and services from leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  4. Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure and services to improve performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  5. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and drive project execution.
  7. Mentorship and Development: Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical training to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
  8. Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to innovate and enhance our cloud offerings.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  2. Proven experience (4 years) in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on scalable and distributed systems.
  3. In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Kubernetes, etc.
  4. Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and data encryption.
  5. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  7. Demonstrated ability to drive technical excellence, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect.
  2. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  3. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
  4. Knowledge of serverless computing concepts and platforms such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
  5. Experience with big data technologies and platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Elasticsearch.
