Karen Tran

Karen Tran is a skilled scientist with extensive experience in molecular genetics and neurobiology. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Tessera Therapeutics since January 2023, Karen previously worked as a Scientist at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. and held various positions at Obsidian Therapeutics. Karen's research includes significant contributions to gene therapy projects targeting neurodegenerative diseases, utilizing advanced techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9 and AAV-based delivery systems. With a strong academic background, including Master's degrees in Biology & Biotechnology and Neuroscience from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Brandeis University respectively, and a BS in Neurobiology from the University of California, Davis, Karen is proficient in various laboratory techniques and data analysis software.
