Kurt Hansen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Kurt is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Tesserent since November 2021. Prior to that, they were the Joint Managing Director and CEO at Tesserent from December 2019 to November 2021.
Before joining Tesserent, Kurt was the CEO of Pure.Security from August 2017 to December 2019. At Pure.Security, they held the position of CEO and was responsible for the overall management and operations of the company.
From July 2016 to March 2017, Kurt worked at Tesserent as the Head of Global Sales. In this role, they played a key role in providing Security-as-a-Service to more than 340 organizations in 11 countries and territories. Prior to their tenure at Tesserent, Kurt served as the Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. from October 2013 to March 2016. Before that, they held the same position at F5 Networks from January 2009 to October 2013.
Kurt's work experience also includes being the CEO/Director at AirData from January 2007 to December 2008 and the Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Symbol Technologies from January 2004 to December 2006.
Earlier in their career, Kurt held roles such as Head of Wholesale Sales at Telstra Corp from 2002 to 2004, Sales Director at Cisco from 1996 to 2002, and Sales Manager at Ericsson from 1989 to 1996.

Kurt Hansen has a diverse education history. In 1979, they attended the Australian Army Apprentice School, where they pursued a degree in Communications and Electronics. Kurt completed this program in 1982 and graduated as a 34th Class Electronics Tradesman. Following this, Hansen enrolled at the Royal Military College - Duntroon in 1983, specializing in Military Science, Leadership, and Operational Art. Kurt obtained a degree as a Commissioned GS Officer. Additionally, in 1986, Hansen attended Swinburne University of Technology, where they undertook a Graduate Diploma in Engineering, specifically focusing on Telecommunications.
