Marika Basford

Marika Basford has over 20 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Marika currently serves as the Lead Finance Business Partner at Tesserent since September 2020. Previously, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at airloom starting from January 2011. Before that, they worked as a Freelance CA Consultant from November 2010. Marika also held the position of Finance Manager - Australia at Matrix42 from September 2014 to October 2015. Marika Basford worked as a Senior Manager at RMG Partners Business Solutions from May 2010 to October 2010. Prior to that, they served as the Finance Manager at Verve Entertainment International from July 2008 to June 2010. Marika also worked as a Freelance CA Consultant from August 2007 to April 2010. Marika Basford's education history begins in 1990 when they attended Gosford High School. Marika completed their high school education there from 1990 to 1995. Following that, in 1996, they enrolled at TAFE NSW to pursue a Certificate in Accounting. In 1997, they attended the Canberra Institute of Technology to obtain an Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Moving forward, from 1998 to 2003, Marika attended Macquarie University, where they studied Accounting and earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (BCom(Acc)). Subsequently, they joined Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2003 and completed the CA Program, obtaining a CA degree. In 2012, Marika pursued the Public Practice Program at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
