Ulrich Poeschl has extensive work experience in the field of information security and IT. Ulrich is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at TEST-FUCHS GmbH since February 2022. Previously, they held the role of Head of IT & Cyber Security at the same company from September 2020 to February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Organization and IT at TEST-FUCHS GmbH from February 2017 to October 2020.
Before joining TEST-FUCHS GmbH, Ulrich worked at Raiffeisen Informatik as a Senior Security Analyst and Penetration Tester / Consultant / CSIRT from August 2015 to January 2017. Ulrich also has experience working in the Austrian Armed Forces (Österreichisches Bundesheer) where they held various roles including Leiter Analyse und Warnungs-Zentrum / milCERT from November 2013 to May 2015, Leitung IT-Sicherheit / Technische Konzeption - Chief Security Architect from January 2010 to December 2013, and Deputy Head Of InfosecAuthority from December 2006 to December 2010.
Additionally, Ulrich has served as a Lector at FH St. Pölten GmbH from January 2007 to October 2012 and as a member of the development team for the Master's degree program in IT Security at the same institution from March 2008 to October 2008. Ulrich has also worked at Wienerberger AG as a Corporate IT International Project Manager from September 2003 to December 2006.
Ulrich Poeschl holds a Magister degree in Informatikmanagement from the Technische Universität Wien, which they completed in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Telekommunikation & Medien from Fachhochschule St Pölten in 2004.
