Chia-yi Chen is a proficient scientist with extensive experience in biophysics and assay development. Currently serving as Lab Head for Assays, Biophysics & Screening at Proteros biostructures GmbH since December 2020, Chia-yi previously held the position of Study Director Bioassay at Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing, where expertise in surface plasmon resonance and cell-based ELISA was demonstrated. Chia-yi's academic background includes postdoctoral fellowships at Universität Freiburg, focusing on the functional biology of proteases in age-related macular degeneration, and at Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, investigating intramembrane proteases in protein quality control. Chia-yi earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from Heidelberg University in 2014.
