Greg Jimmerson

Business Development Lead, Space Robotics at Tethers Unlimited

Greg Jimmerson has a diverse work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Greg started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Lightwave Electronics in 1998, where they designed and tested mechanical elements in laser systems. Greg also led a team of engineers to produce an optical microwave system. In 2002, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Reliant Technologies, pioneering the mechanical development of cosmetic laser systems and designing intelligent laser handpieces and pedestals. In 2008, Greg joined Capsa Solutions as a Mechanical Engineer, where they managed new product projects and oversaw the design of healthcare carts and sterile processing tables. Since 2011, they have been working at Tethers Unlimited, Inc., initially as a Mechanical Engineer and eventually taking on roles such as Mechanical Engineering Manager and Chief Concept Developer. At Tethers Unlimited, they have been involved in developing robotics and in-space servicing assembly and manufacturing technologies, as well as leading successful Small Business Innovation and Research efforts. Greg has also been responsible for writing proposals and managing projects for various research projects, particularly for NASA and DOD.

Greg Jimmerson attended Stanford University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Product Design in 1998. Prior to their college education, they attended Stevens High School.
