Ondrej Synac has extensive work experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. Ondrej is currently employed as the Technical Lead and Senior Principal at Tetra Tech Coffey. Prior to this role, they worked as a Crew Member at Ground Level Alliance. Ondrej also served as the Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer at CMW Geosciences from 2020 to 2023. Ondrej has held various leadership positions, including Chair and National Committee Representative at the Australian Geomechanics Society. Ondrej has also worked as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Coffey, where they were responsible for leading design teams on residential and infrastructure projects. Before joining Coffey, Ondrej worked as the Chief Engineer at Keller Ground Engineering Pty Ltd and Vibropile (Vibro-Pile Pty Ltd). Ondrej has also served as the Technical/Engineering Manager and Piling Estimator at Vibropile and Van Elle Ltd respectively. Ondrej has a strong background in managing projects, developing engineering design standards, and implementing best practices.
Ondrej Synac holds an M.Sc. (First Class) degree in Geotechnical & Tunnelling Engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague. Ondrej also holds a B.Sc. (equivalent) degree in Structural & Transportation Engineering from the same university. Prior to their university studies, they attended Gymnázium Wilhelma Piecka.
