Abtin Shahrokh

Abtin Shahrokh, PhD, EIT, CFM, is an Associate Engineer at Tetra Tech since January 2024, previously serving as an Associate Engineer at RPS from January to December 2023. Shahrokh's expertise includes conducting Hydraulic and Hydrologic modeling for drainage and floodplain analysis utilizing HEC software, and performing terrain analysis with ArcGIS. During a PhD candidacy at The University of Texas at San Antonio from January 2018 to December 2022, research focused on enhancing stormwater control measures through experimental and modeling studies, funded by the City of San Antonio and administered by the San Antonio River Authority. Shahrokh has also worked as a Research Assistant Intern at the United Nations University-FLORES and contributed to various engineering roles, including as an Academic Tutor and Entry-level Civil Engineer, demonstrating a strong foundation in civil and environmental engineering. Academic credentials include a PhD in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio, an MSc in Hydro Science and Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden, and a BSc in Civil Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology.
