Maria del Mar Municio

Maria del Mar Municio, Ph.D has extensive work experience in the field of clinical science and project management. Maria del Mar has worked as an R&D Director at TETRANEURON since 2023. In addition, they have been a Speaker/Professor at CESIF/COFM/ESAME/uc3m/IMF/Instituto Psicobiológico since 2014, where they teach in the Master "Clinical Trials Monitoring and Medical Affairs" program. Maria also serves as a Clinical Senior Advisor, Independent Consultant at QualitecFarma since 2019.

Prior to their current roles, Maria has held various positions in different companies. Maria del Mar worked as the Director of Clinical Science at Emerald Health Pharmaceuticals from 2017 to 2023, where they focused on developing cannabis-based therapies for neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases. Maria del Mar also worked as a Clinical Country Study Manager for Roche at Adknoma Health Research in 2017.

Before that, Maria held positions such as Project Leader/Senior Clinical Project Manager at Exeltis from 2015 to 2017, Clinical Team Manager at Fundación para la Investigación biomédica Hospital 12 de Octubre in 2015, and Deputy Chief Scientific Officer at Digna Biotech from 2006 to 2014. Maria del Mar also worked as a Senior Clinical Project Manager at PHIDEA GROUP Srl from 2004 to 2006 and as a Lead CRA/Project Manager at the same company from 2000 to 2003.

Maria del Mar Municio, Ph.D pursued their education in the field of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Maria del Mar completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid between 1985 and 1990. Subsequently, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid at the Centro de Biología Molecular “Severo Ochoa” between 1991 and 1997.
