Mike Timmers

Mike Timmers currently serves as the Head of Field Engineering at Tetrate since June 2021, focusing on Zero Trust implementations powered by Envoy and Istio. Prior roles include Advisory Solution Engineer and Tanzu Solution Engineer at VMware from December 2019 to June 2021, emphasizing modern application platforms. At Pivotal Software, Inc., Mike held the position of Platform Architect from January 2016 to December 2019, aiding large enterprises in adopting cloud-native approaches. Previously, as Director of Solutions Architecture at PCMS from October 2003 to January 2016, responsibilities included product development and partnership management for retail technology. Mike’s earlier experience includes roles as a consultant at Systems Evolution, Inc., and a Principal Technical Staff Member at AT&T Bell Labs. Mike’s educational background includes a BS in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati.
